Dont know why this didnt hit the news or the IABA website but Ken Egan won gold at the prestigious Algirdas Socikas tourney in Lithuania. Ryan Lindberg and Jason Quigley lost in their first round contests on points but Stephen Ward was stopped in one.. Martin Ward(England) with Irish roots won gold( DOJ beat him earlier this year) as did former European champion Luke Campbell also from England. Campbell is unbeaten since JJ Nevin hammered him in the Eu semis in 2009. Egan beat two seasoned internationals to win with a wo in the final.
