got to say i though Ward very lucky but was delighted to see him win,If it was the other way around we would be screaming blue murder.
I felt Ray was gifted a win in the quaterfinals but has been sensational since.
that said i think we can all agree Nevin would have won gold today only for a very dodgy decision against him so i guess it all evens up.

The crowds are really gonna take to Kavanagh. Very exciting style, loves to have a tear up. He needs to be careful though, against a big puncher, that overly offensive style can cause problems. Another good fight for him. He's been brought along perfectly, all credit to Goldenboy. Doing a great job with him.

Sorry lads, yeah I meant two robberies of Nevin and Conlan. Ok, Conlan's was a lot closer but I thought he won. He certainly gave your man a last round to remember though :yep. I think if they meet again Conlan will win. Just delighted for the two young lads today. Haven't seen the bouts yet so off to try to watch them now. PS Jimmy Magee actually did a good job on RTE Radio's Sport at 7 tonight, he was really tuned in, described the fights in detail! He was a bit more ropey when it came to talking about Macklin though. Good little interviews with Ray Moylette and Joe Ward too. Linked at the bottom of this page:

Eamon O Kane weighed in 1 pound over middleweight today,This really sets things up domestically O Kane after 4 fights versus Spike,Fitz or Coyle would be quite a spectacle.

Anyone know why the Don King card is on Premier Sports tomorrow night but not Setanta?
The only reason I (and many others) pay the Setanta subscription is for the boxing which should be the same as Premier sports (are they not the same ppl?)

Was about to ask the same thing. I was told that they were the same coverage over the phone when I first took it. Then checked today to see if they are showing it and not a sight of it. Is it possible to get Premier sports in Northern Ireland I tried but can't see it on the new channels list.

I tried to subscribe to Premier Sports last year but was told it wasn't available in Ireland (North or South) but was advised to subscribe to Setanta as they would showing the same cards. Setanta's commitment to boxing is BS and I'll be withdrawing my subscription tomorrow
