That's shameful if true. Even though in either case the winner won't be the actual champion, it's still ridiculous to have that guy fighting for a vacant 'world' title.
i know u are saying mccarthy and sheehan would be interesting but con won all 3 rounds on all 5 judges scorecards in that bout, the fight was on paper cos the computers was down! tommys a top lad but theres a lot a closer divisions than the 91kg, cons the stand out man by a mile in the 91kg division and performed very well in the europeans
Andy Lee Vera II to be announced next week http://www.irish-boxing.com/2011/07/lee-vera-ii-to-be-announced-next-week/
i agree about Connies dominance of the current crop feno but what if egan moves up would he deserve a box off,I really cant see how the IABA can ask Ward to box off so that may be the only option open to Egan. Hickey does deserve a once off fight with ray for sure though as champion.I also believe even if there is a box off young Mc Donagh shouldnt have to box off as he has done so already before the euros.
im totally in agreeance with what ya said , how could any1 stop kenny egan from having a shot at the quailifiers, what i ve been hearing is that both boys that won the euro's arent going be boxing off for the 1st qualifier and every1 else is, that would leave kenny and conny at 91kg, be interesting to see what happens!
That makes sense but how many times does Mc Donagh have to box to prove he is the number one.For what its worth i think Connie will beat Kenny, Connies skills are very underrated.
