The fact of the matter is he can bounce back from a defeat to Martinez at this stage of his career. If he looses there are still a good few decent domestic scraps for him on his journey back. I don't think defences against Hyland or Casey are that much of a step back, there both ranked by the EBU, one is the former champion and the other is the EU champ. Not to mention plenty of fights for him across the water for British and Commonwealth titles
Any chance this "saga" is a ploy by Dolphil (techically just 'Phil' now) to get people more interested in an upcoming show they have planned? They keep saying there is upcoming news on Fitz. Maybe it's an attempt at attracting the public to Fitz- whether it's in a positive or negative way? There's something fishy about 2 boxers from the same stable having a go at eachother, and Phil allowing it to go ahead:think

Costa Rica is 7 hours behind as far as I know. That would make a midnight start here a 5pm start local which I doubt but you never know. I'd say closer to 3am to be honest but Cantona should know better than the rest of us. Nice price alright. I'll have a nibble at that. Cheers for the heads up
That's very possible and in fairness I wouldn't blame them if it's true, you have to do whatever you can to hype your fighters. It's risky and could be counter productive but I suppose they haven't too many options and if's done correct the might even get a bit of media attention up to Crumlin to watch the two lads sparring..
BBC Newsline had a little bit on about Paddy Barnes and Carl Frampton there with it only being 1 year away from the Olympics. It seems the spotlight is on Paddy to win a medal at the London games.
From talking to both i doubt it is a ploy-sure the fight isnt going to happen at this stage... they are meant to be sparring this week- that would be quality to watch!
