all this talk of billy should be the one selecting the team is good in one way and bad in another, if he had of been picking it the time of 2007 worlds i wouldnt have been going as i 'wasnt good enough' but i went and qualified and was the only one to do so #justsaying

How do you see Andy Lee getting on against the Middleweight stand out- Martinez, Pirog, Strum, Geale, Chavez Jr and Golovkin??

It's a fair point Paddy. If there were no box-offs last week then Roy Sheahan would be nowhere near the team, maybe fifth, sixth choice?

On the box-off between Moylette and Hickey, if it was my last 20 tomorrow, I'd back Hickey. However, if the Russian awaited in the last 16 of the worlds, and I had a choice to send either man for the win to guarantee qualification, I'd be sending Moylette ATM. A mess! Hopefully Ray gets a lot of work in in Italy, because he's up against it.

Is there any chance of Hickey getting called out on service if he were to get to the London games? Would be a bit of a stinker if he quailifed and got called out on service.

Whoever wins that boxoff will be a medal contender in the Worlds and London if they get there. Irish Am boxing is in the best shape for a long long time.

Rogan said that it might happen on twitter.

Then when the article was produced he gave out stink to them and got them to remove the article.

He had a go at me yesterday for referring to Tolan v Townley as a "cross community clash"

He's most likely speculating about Fury's opponent, in an attempt to deflect criticism away from himself for not taking the Fury contest.
In relation to "cross community clash" comment he's probably right. As much as things are improving up here in terms of people being less likely to kill each other, scratch the surface and the raw sectarianism of this place is still very evident. It wouldn't take much for drunken supporters to "kick off" if the result went against them. I know you mean well by trying to spice up a bit of interest in the bout, but in this case the less said about Tolan and Townleys backgrounds the better.

I agree with you Ardy and generally avoid any such reference as most people on here can atest to.

However, ignoring the reason that Tolan and Townley have so much "dislike" for eachother is ignoring the elephant in the room.

There is one thing being PC so that everything runs along smoothly but its anothers thing being blind to the truth.
