    wasnt getting at the fact he would spar jimmy i was saying they (high performance) never bothered to watch the two lads spar!

    Anyone else think Willie McLaughlin deserves a box off with Sheehan .

    what has Sheehan done in the last 3 years bar win a box off which Willie wasnt in .

    Willie has beaten the current European champion Fred Evans by a ten point margain a month before the Europeans and also beat last years European champion Backsai from Hungary last November.

    Agree with you. Why didn't they even have a box-off? Then again, McLaughlin's not at the right club, is he?

    Same goes for Michael McDonagh, national champion, unbeaten domestically as a senior, doesn't even get a box-off. Place goes to a boxer from a certain club.

    McDonagh drew a Russian in the first round of the European youths today by the way. And won 12-9! www.iaba.ie

    Hi guys, sorry to stray of the topic of your conversation but was wondering you if you could help me out.
    I am from the south Belfast/Lisburn area and would like to take up boxing but im not sure about the clubs in my area (don't know where they are or what ones would be could to join). Is there anyone near by that would know a thing or to to enlighten me.
