You mean JP Zukauskas AKA Th Boston Gob. Cracking nickname!

They had some good ams in the Soviet era includin Danas Pozniakas, but they've never really had a decent pro.

So will Carl be fighting for the vacant strap on the same date ?

If Willie fights for it I can see it being another crushing defeat not what his confidence needs imo.

Monroe would be a good test not a lot of power but a better boxer than Kiko and has fought at world level.

Well Im a happy today first off the mighty City trashed Spurs today 5-1. Then the Dubs made my weekend and got to a All Ireland final after beating Donegal. That player that went down to get Connolly sent off should be ashamed of himself it was a joke sending off now Connolly will more than likely miss the final which will be terrible for him. Roll on Kerry. Time for the Dubs to bring Sam back home.

Connolly is a muppet , played against him a few times he thinks he is a hard man and should have kept his hands down, we played better without him anyway .Dosent matter anyway as Kerry and the Gooch will **** Dublin.

    Rendall MUNROE (GB) 22-2 (9kos)
    Scott QUIGG (GB) 22-0 (15kos)
    Arsen MARTIROSYAN (AM/FR) 18-4 (8kos)
    Jason BOOTH (GB) 36-7 (15kos)
    Willie CASEY (IE) 11-1 (7kos)
    Jeremy PARODI (FR) 31-1 (9kos)
    Carl FRAMPTON (GB) 10-0 (6kos)
    Ali HALLAB (FR) 10-0-1 (5kos)
    Joaquin CESPEDES (ES) 10-0-1 (3kos)
    Paul HYLAND (IE) 20-2 (6kos)
    Andrey BOGDANOV (RU) 13-1 (4kos)

These are the only people ranked by the EBU, So it has to be one of these.

And just to clear up on that rule about coming off a loss.......

The rule is you can not fight for the EBU Title coming off a loss for the EBU Title, So that puts Jason Booth out, His last fight was against Kiko for the title

It seems to be taken off BoxRec too, It says Carl Frampton is still fighting but doesnt say he is fighting for the vacant title..........

Think Matchroom/Barry McGuigan or somebody will need to clear all this up fairly soon with a presser to try shift the tickets

where does it say Kiko gave up the title this was a voluntary defence, and agreements have to be made between Kiko and Munroes camps by oct for these 2 to fight

I think this was in response to my question Matt, was it not?

It has nothing at all to do with boxing. Exactly the reason why I said it's irrelevant, but was asking just out of curiosity. I never met him nor his brother so I wouldn't have known, hence the reason i asked. But again, it has nothing to do with boxing

Gary Hyde says here willie was offered a fight with frampton for the title
    http://www.irish-boxing.com/2011/08/willie-casey-offered-ebu-title-fight-with-carl-frampton/

kiko pulled out cause his father is unwell not injury- maybe that has something to do with it? or maybe there was a clause in the contract

Surely Hyde is telling porkies. This is a voluntary not a mandatory. I can't see him being stripped for that. I'd be very surprised if he gave it up voluntarily either? Unless he thinks he is better off coming back and fighting a paddy for the EBU when he's ready to fight again.

Who did he say offered him the 'title fight'? The EBU?

    EDIT

Sorry I saw Hyde saying Kiko vacated so now Casey can win back the belt he never lost. Someone should tell him Kiko got his belt back against Booth.

Unless he's suggesting Kiko has vacated again?
