What a weekend it's been for Irish boxing, pro and amateurs.

I think we have someone special in Joe Ward. It's incredible what's he's doing at 17 years of age.

Don't think we'll be seeing Macklin v Martinez anytime soon by the sounds of it. Seems he wants to pair Macklin up with one of the weaker champions before considering putting him in with Maravilla. I think he has the right idea. Get Daniel Geale over to New York for a fight.

That was the best boxing display I have seen from Lee since the Gibbs fight. He was boxed brilliantly the whole 10 rounds and a great fight to get under his belt. He should get his world title shot now.

I am a Lee fan now. I rooted for Vera the first time. I thought Lee was hype, and I didn't like Steward. As a fan I welcome rematches with guys who lost by ko. Lee has won my heart, he has skill, he has to work harder to get into tip top shape, and he gained revenge after a brutal stoppage. I'm a fan now forever. Check the pfp top 10 list and see who has lost by ko and NOT gained revenge.

Thank you Sergio and Mr.Ladbrokes for putting a tank of petrol in my car and beer in my belly. I mightn't beat a fly but I enjoy beating the bookies.

:good Well in misticmonk. I always like to see one of our own beat the bookies and pocket a few quid (or a belly full of beer!) Nice one!
