Don't think the media have been moaning about Roggie or Fitz- or any fighters for that matter- there might have been the odd story reflecting what has been asked here and amongst fans. I have asked Roggie and heard him asked at every presser about the WBF belt and he has had his chance to defend it- I know he had a go at Slap and fair play to Slap he voiced his opinion face to face and wouldnt apoligies for voicing his opinion!!! With Roggie standing over you with thoose shovels that is brave and deserves credit. And the Irish media and the coverage we give boxing in the papers is lauded by British promoters and esp their PR guys. All fights are covered across the board in the papers and esp online. From Ciaran in the Mail- Kev in the Sun- Gerry in the Star and the Mirror boxing gets decent coverage, is well supported and the lads a re generally positive
I heard thats whats being set up,I suppose it make sense but Sweeny dominated the last fight i cant see your point that Waldron would have stopped him in fact waldron was rocked in each of the three rounds and at the bell for the end of round three was on rubber legs.Sweeny will win this handy (5 round stoppage) Waldron is down to box in Germany this week if he gets stopped there that would be 4 defeats and 4 stoppages in a row surely the BUI wouldnt leave him box a 10 round tough fight then.
Sweeny was clearly tired and the ref had the fight 2 rounds to 1 so i dont see how he was dominating Im just glad we get to see a show in proper ireland but its getting a bit late to announce it Where in galway?

Booths been written off before. Maybe I'm just biased as he's among my favourite fighters the past number of years. Also according to ringside macklins close to agreeing paddys day fight with martinez
Martinez dominated him, he put in a good effort against Molitor but Molitor was beaten in his next fight and Booth wasnt overly impressive for me in his two fights before that against Marsh and Arthur. I think hes good to watch and a clever veteran but overrated because of his back story and beating the booze. If he can beat Quigg though he'll have converted me but I just dont see it. Think it could be one of those nights where a fighter looks really old all of a sudden.

Going by their form over the last couple years anyone of the 57kgs could win it! It seems to be 2 fairly even matched semi's so I suppose its all about who performs best on the night. Hopefully Jamie does! He's been there or thereabouts now in a few all-irelands....never gets beaten by much! Fingers crossed :good
