Could someone please copy and paste the open youth entries to the thread? I can't seem to open the file from the IABA website

 

Lads have an interesting interview with Pascal in the Mirror tomorrow re the Ormond fight- also some choice words from Frank.

It seem a catch 22 for Stephen- take the fight when he doesnt feel right for it or **** ****** off!!!! does frank hold a grudge?

 

well from what i hear Ormand is out injured

One hundred and twenty three boxers have entered the 2012 Open Youth Competition.

The tournament begins at the National Stadium in Dublin tomorrow evening.

Friday's weigh-in will held between 8.30am and 10am and 12 noon and 1pm at the National Stadium followed by the draw at 1.30pm.

I just dont believe McGirt to be the elite trainer he was once touted as being, I dont believe he suits Macklins come forward style, in saying that though Macklin knows more and must have been happy with him the last time but I think there is better trainers out there!

as i said it will be in the Mirror tomorrow-

basically Ormond took a break over xmas and didnt feel he could be ready in time... intimated he just wasnt 'motivated or up for it'... Also said they would take the fight if it was put back to March 10- under card of Burns and possibly Million Dollar!

 

i see he has moved down to lightheavy recently so hopefully he will carry the power down with him. would not be too surprised if he was in some form of title fight in 2012 although he is still relatively untested ...

 

he just felt he needed more time to prepare he took a break when last fight fell through and didnt think he would be ready, just hope he hasnt burned any bridges with ****** over the whole thing!!
