just watched couple videos of matthew hall there spikes opponent and i reakon he easily has the beatens of him!! hopefully him and ormond keep winning and frank ****** starts running shows in ireland!!
Big fight for Spike i expect him to win aswell,and i dont see Ormonde having many problems with Coveney (not disrespect)with Timmsy knocking about aswell as Karl Brabazon a night in the stadium or tallaght certainly would seem very viable for he who shall not be named.
Michael Sweeney to fight Vyacheslav Uzelkov in three week in Kiev according to The Star for the wbo inter-continental light heavyweight title ,very big ask for him but imo he is alot better fighter at lightheavy and he can beat this fella,a win should be a big kick start for his career ... Also jason mckay through to The Euro Junior final ,another Irish am star on the way up, its mad the amount of quality small fellas Belfast produces, Barnes, The 2 Conlons, Burnett, Joe Fitzpatrick, and thats only in recent times. Also Brian Wall from Kerry just won his Semi against Hungary 13-7 at 75kgs, once again Ireland produces on the big stage at underage level, the future is bright. Lets hope they can win there finals !
That's disgraceful stuff from Sweeney, he's got plenty of excess flab when he weighs in at Light-Heavyweight and could definitely make Super-Middle. Uzelkov is very heavy handed, and while I think at his best Sweeney could have hung with him for a little while, eventually he'd have probably got bombed out. Still though to not be taking the fight for that reason is pretty poor, unless he's got a good excuse to be horrendously out of shape which I'm not aware of.
well if thats the case he may aswell hang the gloves up .chap doesnt seem to be dedicated to the sport at all lately
