    Cormac, Gerry deserves a serious write up.

    I did this page over a year ago http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1947_European_Amateur_Boxing_Championships but havent been able to find jack **** on Gerry (possibly because I have seen his name spelt in five ways now.

    His grandson (a Dub's MMA fighter and trainer) is sending me some info on him and I can put you in contact with him.

    just looked on bexrec...he looks lively on paper...
    fought for world title 2 fights back...although ko'd in 2..

    I hope Dunne does a number on him.An exciting ko win for Dunne is whats needed going into this world title fight that is being talked about.:deal

    Yeah he looks good on paper but I saw a dvd of him fighting Santillan and it was less than impressive. I think Garcia would have been a stronger test for Dunne.

    When is the draw for the European championships being made???. Does anyone think that the Irish team have a chance of a medal??:bbb

    Not sure about the draw but if recent performances are anything to go by, I can see the Irish team winning a few medals! Does anyone know if it will be televised?
