I never recall him saying that:huh. Frampton seems like a decent lad. Never met the lad, but posters here have and they have said he's a sound enough.

He has said it loads of times and he's dead right to as well. If I was a boxers from Belfast no matter what side I'd want to be the best in Britain and Ireland.

He always say's that! He has said several times that since he turned pro, the British belt was the one he wanted.. and to be the best in Britain.. have you not seen the whole thing goin on between him, Quigg and Munroe? He's said it several times that he wants to prove he's the best in Britain, and Europe. Ive heard him once say he wanted to be best in Ireland but only when he was asked about it, and Willie Casey and Paulie Hyland.. but only cause he was put on the spot. Barry McGuigan said several times aswell that he was goin to be the best in Britain.. not Ireland. For someone who doesn't want to upset British/Irish fans (even though hes from the Republic) he does care most about pleasing the Brits. (Barry McGuigan)

Martin Rogan, before he won the Commonwelth, said he wanted to be the Champion of his country (Ireland) before anything else.. and he fought for the Irish title.. he hasn't fought for the British title. Carl Frampton has never said anything about wanting an Irish title.. or called himself Irish.

JJ McDonagh should get a shot at him. He was robbed in the Prizefighter!

so what? I thought you originally said he said he wants to be the best in "Britain AND Ireland" not "Britain NOT Ireland". He has often said the former.

Not everyone on this Island has the same views on what constitutes being "Irish" and I respect that. This isnt some Nazi state that you need to pledge allegience to Dev before being considered Irish!

Saying that I has annoyed be that Team Frampton have never shown (publicly anyway) any interest in facing Casey or Hyland.

I think that he see's himself as a level above both Casey and Hyland.

No, I said he said he wants to be the best Britian, he never mentioned he wants to be the best in Ireland.. This thread is called 'Irish Boxing', not 'British Boxing'.
