Yeah Cormac, it's terrible news. God only knows what's going on behind the scenes there. I found an article in the Derry Journal about it also.

Ive heard aswell that Duddy has left his promotional team irish ropes has any1any ideas why this is?This will surely put his ambitions to be a world champion back by a long time.

petey...i think irish ropes have held back duddy in the last year...brian peters the promoter wanted 2 run a big show in the kings hall belfast were duddy would have been fighting in front of 7000 people and a national tv audience...but instead irish ropes choose 2 put him on in this obscure venue in the US were there is minimum interest...and have now pulled the plug on this as well:good

Terrible shame but they have definately been holding him back by wrapping him in cotton wool. They arent giving the boy the opertunity to improve himself which is a shame.

Hearns has fought in june, september and october and duddy hasnt fought since june..... not ideal preperation

Eamonn O'Kane through to semis on countback it would appear - fight ended 4-4. 3 medals at least with Con Sheehan to come yet in his quarter final.

That may be true that they were holding him back but if u were to believe the papers,he only had this fight against hill and then fight in jan against hearns and if he came through successfully he was to get a shot at a world title.Things must realy have been bad for him to feel he had no choiche but to leave them.
