Limerick has always had a bad name iceman, i've there a few times and always been warned about being robbed! And not because I am a small pimply guy with a handbag and freckles.

 

Yeah, that's hope Lee gives a great display tomorrow. Irish boxing is kicking off with Lee,Duddy and Dunne. And there's more to follow with McCloskey and Macklin[ who are on tomorrows undercard]

Hello Shamrock, I have never been to Limerick, but will have to go if Lee keeps fighting there. Have you ever seen Angela's Ashes, which is set in Limerick about 50 years back. christ, it looked like a tough town then.

 

well, i am a typical american "mutt", only part of me irish...also german, english (sorry).
regardless, us americans LOVE the irish, and not just on st. paddy's day...
hard workers, know how to have a good laugh, WILLING TO FIGHT IF NECESSARY!!!
you irish made our country tougher when many of you emigrated here in the 1800's.

Good man, I'm glad you think that way. Did you know Roy Keane was a champion amateur boxer at school boy level. He could have been a great boxer, but we will never know. I suppose he's the one that got away.

i never knew, but i am not surprised!!! i know wayne rooney did, another manutd. star who is truly irish, despite being from manchester.
my best friend growing up was ALL irish; he was tiny, but a tough ******* whenever we got in a scrape. i knew he would always be there with me.

Im exicted to have the opportuniy to see Lee live (for a second time) when he headlines an Espn card around St. Paddy's. I think James Moore will also be on the card. Also Duddy next month at MSG, a good time for irish fight fans in the noretheast.

 

Yeah friend, I have lived and worked around the world to a certain extent, but I have always been based in beautiful Belfast. But I plan to make to New York City On the 7th June to watch John Duddy challenge Kelly Pavlik for the middleweight title at Madison Square Garden.Myself and several thousand other Irish men.
