Do any of you know about about the money involved in WSB? I was just thinking that in terms of boxers, Ireland could have its own WSB team, wouldn't necessarily need a single foreign boxer.

Given that you're pretty much guaranteed at least decent opponents, it would probably make for better tv than the average night of pro boxing. Since a lot of the boxers are already getting paid through the high performance, it mightn't even be too much more expensive. RTE give amateur boxing more coverage than pro boxing, so they might be more interested in it as well if it ever happened.

Jaysis welcome back Paddy, may start posting again. Shall we go on the Brendan O'Connor show to announce your triumphant return? Then again, if you do that it might not actually happen.

I suppose but he did get wobbled a few of times in that fight. A few more times then you'd like. A bigger puncher could of hurt him.

John Joe Nevin has ditched plans to forge a professional career under the guidance of Amir Khan and signed up for the amateur World Series of Boxing (WSB) Team Championships.

He prob would have made a good Pro but will make good money in the WSB
