Hi Guys, been following this thread for ages, great stuff, but this is my first time posting.

Just read that article Ardy and the reference to Croke Park seemed to be just something to create a headline. When you actually read it you realist there is very little chance of it actually happening there. Shame, what an event that would be for Ireland.

and it won't happen as Wembley, The Millennium Stadium and the City of Manchester Stadium are all much more logical choices.
    Well done Taylor btw.

imagine the trouble we'd have trying to get rid of the mexicans after the fight aswell.

Theres a chance all be it a slim one that it could be there, as Oscar might look at Croker as a neutral venue, maybe hoping for a sizable amount of the Irish crowd there to cheer him on.:think

Can you imagine how much they would charge if it was held at Croker (I don't think there is much hope it will). You'd be looking at €200 for a cheap ticket with a restricted view behind the burger van

I think Wayne is a nailed on certainty for pugilistic dementia in the future if he keeps boxing. The WBC should be ashamed (some ****ing chance of that I know) of themselves. How can they even contemplate giving him a title crack. He hasn't boxed at 118 for 12 years. He's only had 5 fights in 5 years and lost 4 of those. I know its great box office to see Wayne getting the ears boxed off him and still swarming forward but the man is going to end up paying the price down the road. It doesn't matter how strong his chin is.

I agree bambam, some fighters should be protected for there own good. Wayne has been a fantastic ambassador for Irish boxing, and I would hate to see him hurt in any long term way.
