If Turner went on long training camps and set himself an 18 month target to reach Cruiser I think he could do it. He is very big at the moment but I just think he could do it if he really wanted it.
Does anyone know what Conor McGregor was like at boxing? I've heard conflicting reports. Some say he only dabbled in it when he was a young fella, others say he won an underage irish title. Surely someone on the thread knows?
I've heard he was an All Ireland champ at some point. He's not a bad boxer at all though. You can see his boxing in the way he fights in MMA.
Conor trained in Crumlin while I boxed there, very classy boxer with a naz like style. He was a decent banger too, Phil always though a bit of him. Although I don't think he did win an Irish title, I have no doubt he would hold his own with the senior level boxers.
