    Is Macklin Geale off now?
Bummer for Mack if it is ....this was a big opportunity for him IMO...
Bummer of a week all round. First the possibility of quigg beating Carl to LSC and not Macklins fight scuppered. We could do with some good news.
They say bad news comes in threes.
All we are short now is for the ridiculous Andy Lee vs GGG fight to be back on!

Macklin suspects all was not on the level with the collapse of his fight with Geale. He could have a point.

Asked Jason: What sort of adjustments will you be making to your game now that you'll be boxing professionally?

A: "To be honest, I boxed for a long, long time in computer scoring and I was very successful at it. I went then to the WSB and was successful at it. The computer changed to a 10-9 scoring system, which was a professional system, and I succeeded at a high level in that as well. I think the style that I have is a box-fighter. Whenever I have to go into the trenches and let this boy know that he won’t be bullying me around the ring, I can do it. I can outclass him and outbox him as well. When you look at the likes of Floyd Mayweather, Muhammad Ali, Sugar Ray Leonard – all these guys have boxed, not fought. They danced around the ring and used their skills. And when they had to, when they were dropped, they had to get up and show the guy that ‘here I’m not just a pretty dancer, I can let the shots go and give you what you’ve given me as well’. That’s the way that champions are made and the way I’ll go about my career. When I can box and use my skills – my natural gifts – that’s what I’ll do. But if there’s a guy who’s there to blow me out of the water I won’t let him do that. I’ll go toe to toe, look him in the eye and make sure that he knows I’m in there for the long haul."

For the record I think he's going to be an excellent professional. Interested to see how powerful he's punching in smaller gloves now. He's negated nearly every opponent he's fought to date, has a remarkable record of scalps to his name, and to my mind is Ireland's most successful amateur middleweight of all times, among some pretty decent competition. Will be some rivalry with Cummings down the line...

Unforunately for Carl the only person 122 right now that wants to fight him is Rigo.
Kiko and LSC looking elsewhere. Only other option may be possibility of Hearn and McGuigan working something out but I think he had 1 more fight left with BN which probably rules that out too. May have to keep busy again.

There is no incentive for Kiko to fight Carl. Surely thats obvious.
If you were Kiko and his team would you?

In any case Kiko is injured- hip muscle problem and wont be fighting anyone soon - never mind Carl.

The next fight will be between 2 of these 3: Quigg-LSC-Carl. The question is, which 2.

If Fletcher gets GGG (lucky him)..maybe Macklin-Geale can still happen? Wishful thinking?

i say let Hearns pay through his teeth to get LSC so Frampton can have him, then when Quigg gets beat he market value will go down and him and Hearns will never get that big Frampton payday
