Oh O'Reilly is a serious medal hopeful for Rio-I'll be disappointed if he doesn't win one.

 

DOJ should turn pro:good

 

DOJ has signed up to the APB. 60kg is one of the tougher divisions, however his pro style should suit the longer format. Also, participating increases his chances of qualifying for Rio

 

IMO he would have given Quigley a run for his money in this years seniors. As would Cummings (had neither he nor Quigley gone pro).

 

I think it increases it a lot, a Lot of places are been given for apb boxing

Really want to see him going to the Olympics he deservs it

 

So this Jason Quigley is supposed to be the goods then?

In his sophomore pro effort just now he looked pretty raw and nothin to crow about. Not as rough as Nevin's debut, but in both cases very disappointing given the hype from the amateurs.

He never came bear losing a minute of a round, mind - the opponent was suitably chosen for lack of threat or resistance - but he was astoundingly sloppy for such a top amateur (like Nevin was)

 

Like with Nevin I think there was an over-eagerness from Quigley to impress tonight (and on his debut on the Canelo undercard). Both Quigley and Nevin were quite slick amateurs but fighting such non threatening guys who are only there to take punches doesn't suit their styles. I think this mix of youthful exuberance and an unchecked invitation to load up is making them look sloppy and raw.... hopefully

Yea I'm fighting six round fight against English lad waiting to confirm name. Was hoping to get Blackwell who went distance with Fitzy and Meli but hes already fighting that weekend. Hopefully show gets support and its start of regular small shows in Dublin by Alio.

 

Think people saw Loma and expected these top amateurs to be something special right off the bat.

Loma is a freak, pure and simple.
As in history these guys have to be brought along right.

The pros is a different ball game to the amateurs, and even the top guys need to get used to it.

You start over again in the pros. Im sure as hes brought along right, he'll do great things in a couple of years.
