Crolla v Stephen Ormond would of been a good fight to see on the Dublin card. Be interested to see who he fights. Get Jamie Kavanagh over for the fight but I think a Crolla fight for Kavanagh might be too early for him. Or how about Kevin Mitchell or a fight with Scott Cardle for Crolla a real pick em fight to Co Main event the bill on Sky Sports coverage. I wonder if Sky will show the grude fights live on the night. Be it Spike v Fitzey and Tims v Sweeney as they both will be the really tight fights on the night. Hopefully all 4 of these lads can put on a great show and who knows maybe all 4 will get on more live fight nights when hopefully Matchroom come back. I think we need Macklin to win this fight and then get him back for a final elminator fight in Dublin again early next year.

Well his father was shot dead less than 2 months ago. Might be a bit of time before we see him in the ring again.

Young lad, just turned 19, fights out of Bracken BC Balbriggan Dublin. Has won a few Leinster and Ireland underage titles, has had a bit of trouble with injuries. Quite the silky boxer. Have heard that he's bringing a few busloads of people up for the fight.

Not only was the late lamented charmer Gerard "hatchet" Kavanagh Jaimes dad, he was a senior member/enforcer for the Kinahan drug cartel, a multi hundred million dollar operation.
Hatchet, when he wasn't collecting drug money, was involved in his sons career. Unless I'm very very wrong, I Seem to remember hatchet working Jaimes corner in at least one fight stateside. ( perhaps someone could confirm this in case I am mistaken but I don't think I am).

My point being the incredibly inconsistent way the yanks enforce access to their precious country.

Hatchet had a list of convictions as long as your arm, including nasty stuff like Heroin dealing, yet, unless I am mis remembering, he flew in and out of USA at will, even blatantly working in a public capacity as a cornerman for his son etc ...no problem for hatchet!

Yet a grafting pro, and hard working family man like English middleweight Martin Murray is banned for being a naughty teenager when he was young. Baffling!
