Is the promotion in cork still going ahead??? It's nearly 2 weeks til the promotion and i havn't seen any press release's nor is they anything up on boxrec or ticket's for sale on ticketmaster.

yeah ive been looking for stuff from him for a while but kept drawing blanks then i was watching Ward-Gatti I again and i see this "wildcard sparring irish thunder" and it could of only been one boy! I read what podge said myself its a disgrace. its a shame those days are gone down in dublin.

I think it was Fra who was asking about Kieran Joyce? He has a hallowed name in Cork boxing, from the famed Sunnyside amateur club. Two-time Olympian, the Joyce family are as well known as the O Hailpin's in Cork. Good people.
Hello Podge, I remember Kieran winning a bronze medal in the European championships. He was expected also to pick up a medal at the Los Angeles Olympics, but he exited in the second round. He had a whirl wind of a boxing style as he kept throwing punch after punch without stopping.Gordon his younger brother was also a long time Irish champion.
