Tight one alright but slightly better opposition and the fact doran was dropped twice by Harry Matthews. As said nothing in it though,
You got me doing a bit of homework len and i went back through all Andys kos on you-tube,of the fights that were there it seems to be 50/50 between left hook/straight left and right, like mc ewan, willie gibbs,Falliga, salway, khalil, walker. Point being that andy has serious power in both hands and Quillin will know this and its hard to keep eye out for right hook as well as left. Happy days ahead:happy:thumbsup
Full prizefighter weigh in https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xyYFiHgAWAU Keeler looks shorter than his opponent but far stronger
Also great to see Irish amateur boxing get increased funding from the sports council and a new facility which will see the boxers move away from the national stadium. The new boxing facility will be in the national sports campus in Abbotstown and should be ready by the end of the year. This is what we need to keep bringing us major medals in our most successful Olympic sport:deal
Fair dues Dutchie. I havent anything like your dedication to go to all that trouble. It was just that going from my memory most of his 'clean' kos seemed to be coming from his right hook - not that I doubt you, after all you've done the spade-work. I couldnt seperate andy and Quillin in a fair fight, all factors being equal etc. What worries me is that at the best of times overseas boxers get robbed in the states - and on top of that Quillin of all boxers is super-connected and super-protected. Andy really WILL need the ko I feel. :thumbsup
http://www.independent.ie/sport/oth...ew-training-centre-ahead-of-rio-30985470.html Doubt the funding would be nearly enough for an WSB team, but at least they aren't ****ting on Irish amateur boxing
'Boxing received the biggest 'high performance' grant (925,000) when the Sports Council released its 2015 funding yesterday' The NGB grant is what you were talking about. But I get what you are saying, they could pump millions and millions into boxing and it every cent would be well deserved because it is the only Olympic sport we are consistently good at. But those are the breaks eh...
Haven't posted here in a while but just popped in to wish Lukekiko the best of luck tonight. Stuck a few quid on the a double for Keeler and Ormond.
Thanks for confirming that ...I thiught I was hearing things. Why isn't the 160, lbs (11-6) traditional middleweight limit applying here?
