It occurs to me that demolishing ANOTHER Hispanic will in no way encourage LSC to face Carl! First Cazares, now Avalos....anyone agree?

Probably the best they can hope for at this stage is to persuade LSC to come as far as England? A "neutral" venue. Even that will be a "hard sell" now.
I doubt he would venture into the bear pit that swallowed up Avalos.
Unless he can't get Mares and is desperate...

RTE please copy, or are they too dumb or commercially protected that their natural bias will continue?

Is there any possibility of getting together some kind of petition to pressurise RTE (and/or politicians who can influence RTE) to show more boxing? Has this ever been attempted before?

Ryle Nugent doesn't fancy anything as working class as boxing. He'll stick to egg chasing and show jumping.

    ****er!

    14th, actually.

The opponent is Milton "El Misil" Núñez, against whom Golovkin won his first (interim) world title.

Spike will then be returning to my neck of the woods four weeks later to headline another Murphy's Boxing show on April 10th, opponent still TBA.

    Patrick Hyland on the undercard.

Núñez's severed head is going to land in someone's lap in the eleventh row within thirty seconds.

Núñez has been KO1ed six times in his career (by Jacobs, Chudinov, Melendez, Kasperski, Golovkin, Tapia) - stopped nine altogether, in basically a quarter of his pro contests.

If he were in with a gamer quarry I might consider the bus ride down to MSG next month, but as it stands I can wait for Spike to return to MA in April. :good
