Wasn't televised. Kavanagh looked abysmal, did his usual thing and fought down to his opponent's level. Getting to be a really bad habit. :-( Starting to believe he just can't hack the pro game, as I can't remember him ever not looking average or worse.
He just isnt good enough, nothing to do with fighting down to his opponents level. I knew he wasn't as good as we hoped when he drew with that journeyman Ramesis Gil. The only time ive ever been impressed with Jamie is when he beat that Ramon Valadez guy. Kavanagh cant take a good shot, he is defensively suspect and he can't punch, a bad combination against even a half decent opponent. But to be fair to him on Friday, he was just after coming back from a long layoff and his father was only brutally murdered 6 months ago. Not surprised he'd looked even more average than usual.
Didn't even realise in was fighting in the WSB. Dean Gardiner lost yesterday as well. His opponent looked like a fat midget.
Anybody know anything about Luis Garcia and what hes up to nowadays? Seemed to have so much talent and just seemed to fall off the face of the earth
said before the new year he was back in training but no word since all i can say is what a waste of talent ,the kid was amazing and if he stuck to it would be right up in the mix with the likes of Kovalev and Stevenson
Terriblw shame. Still young enough to do something if he gets himself back in the ring. Is he still living in Ireland?
Andy Lee interview over at the 'scene. Says he classes himself as a "technical boxer". Beam me up Scotty! The lads capacity for self-delusion knows no bounds.....
Could just be the media taking things out of context. Perhaps the quote was truly "I am, technically, a boxer..."
