I dont post too often on here and I wouldnt claim to know as much as most posters but why is it people constantly " put down " or " bad talk " our own boxers.. Most posts are people picking holes and finding faults in our boxers why not try build these lads up or at least mention the positives in their games..

I think the comments are very balanced - good and bad. What little criticism there is I would consider mild. Which is exactly what fair comment is all about on such a forum. It is an Irish trait to 'knock our own', alright, in general terms.......but as regards the comments on this boxing forum they are nothing like the vicious harsh words you see on the Brit or US sections.

What will you come out with next, there are plenty Sky sports spoofs on this forum and every sports forum,so what the ordinary Joe has to do is siphon the bull from the bull****.
While i probably agree with you i also thought Andys rematch with Vera was world class and one of his best fights ever,to say Andy struggled is i think an overstatement,we can only go on results and Andy got them,i dont think he was fortunate against Jackson,to land the knockout of the year against a solid puncher is worthy of serious praise,Jackson being the FIRST(of only 2 men) to have Andy on the Canvas.
Pick what you want out of the Korobov and Quillin fights but these were two serious results against two unbeaten boxers.Andy has improved there is no doubt and is a worthy world champ,to discuss Macklin in the same breath is an insult!!!!!!!

The card hasn't been officially announced yet as far as im aware of, but to hazard a guess id say The National Stadium? 3arena is too big and there really aren't many other venues which suit the purposes of pro boxing in Dublin. Id be surprised if its anywhere else.

Sutcliffe has a great chance for success if he heads off to America but if he stays here I think we will posting familiar themes such as "what could have been". The level of opponent and sparring here will drag him away from his true potential. Even if he located to the UK with the McGuigans I think its not too late but time is ticking and I really think he needs to get out while he is still young. I think Nevin is in the same bracket but the sun is ready to set on Nevin if he doesn't get a reality check and alienate himself from his current living environment. It will be interesting to see how Turner turns out (excuse the pun) having been in camp with the Furey's and if Mr Pete Furey can get him down to cruiser!

Do you think this Spainish crowd can make a difference to the boxing scene in Dublin considering there appears to be TV backing with Boxnation:think

If its true about Kid Galahads drug ban its bad news for the 122 domestic division. I was wondering why he was so inactive.

For starters its one less option for Carl - and perhaps one more reason they should have taken the £1.5m Quigg fight....

Philip sutlciffe signing with Ken Casey as promoter would be pretty cool lads, could have him fighting across the pond and chinning yanks for fun, not likely though

What a shame! Could he not handle the freedom of being away from the amateur game??

He never came across as a mad one.
