FFS, the fight has been moved back.
I'm only back in Ireland until the 20th...this has F'd up everything.

I may end up back on this thread looking to sell a ticket soon!

Terrible news for all the fans who bought tickets for Limerick.
On a personal level - #phew! I almost caved in and bought a ticket and took Dutchie up on his challenge. Call me a fool but something was just not 'right' about this whole promotion from the word go. The whole thing just had an air of unreality about it - the too-bland press conferences, the bare minimum talk from Andy, Katie pulling out, the non-existant undercard etc etc..

Andy needs to come out and speak to his fans directly!
    People need...and deserve...answers.

So you accept the 'official party line' without question Paddy?

Call me cynical but I want Andy himself to come on camera, look his loyal fans in the eye and explain this sh!t.

    I assume tickets are refundable?

Its Limerick city that gets really f'd over in all this. The city would have gotten a huge boost, particularly the North side which needs all the help it can get.

All the lads that had bought tickets around Munster are hardly going to go en masse to Manchester

Its tough on you alright. Few will have shelled out and gone to the lengths you did to see this fight. My sympathies. Do you think Andy has been on the level about the 'virus' ...or is failure to sell tickets the REAL reason the fight is not taking place in Limerick????

We never did get to hear exactly WHY Katie pulled out - had she early warning that this was likely to happen? Hmmmmm!!

Your fans deserve answers - over to you Andy.

You will get a refund. Your ticket might even be transferable to the new venue - though exactly how this would work eludes me. Maybe you shouldnt give up on it yet - flights to Manchester are readily available from Dublin, Cork etc...just saying...

This latest episode highlights the need for Ireland to have its own boxing promoter. The British promoters have too much financial muscle and are dictating terms to both our world champions. First Carl v Quigg is messed up by Hearn and now Waxxer is meddling in Andy v BJS.

I suspect that Wazzer never wanted to come to Limerick and he set the bar so high in terms of ticket sales that he knew Team Lee would fail. Andy just isnt that big a star here. Sure, he is popular and well-liked and a star among serious fans, but he's no Barry MCGuigan, who was a 'crossover' star with mass appeal.
    - Also he just is too classy a guy to 'play the game' like you have to these days if you want to become a star, like Conor McGregor.
Its such a shame that Andy and Carl arent huge stars on this Island, but someone who acts like (not saying he really is like that) a trashy blingy goon like Conor is catapulted to instant s****om.

If you dont appeal to the lowest common denominator - you're destined to never be a superstar. Kind of depressing innit?
