    Ardy,

I thought the same thing myself. I was talking to Gary Hyde this morning - he is fully confident that it will sell, such is the interest and buzz about the Cuban lads over there. It also helps that there are three or four Geordies on the show, as well as Glenn McCrory in the corner.

He added that changing the date never crossed his mind - he said he's not hoping for a profit at this stage in any case, he only wants to establish another base as well as Ireland where the Cubans can box.

Albert Sosnowski was looking for a bit more money than Gary was prepared to shell out. It's not fair to go into figures, but in my opinion, the money he wanted was huge! I almost didn't believe the figures myself - I couldn't see a world title contender asking for that much.

George Arias is now being offered the fight. That is also a good test - Arias has gone to the later rounds with a lot of prospects, and even established fighters. It will give us an indication of where Perez is.

As soon as I know more, I'll let you guys know.

isn't he the fella who lost to Fraudley a while back.
Sosnowski would of been a very good chance to see how good he actually is but if he priced himself out of the picture what can ya do.

who you fellas reckon is the biggest p4p puncher in ireland? givin it a thought and we are short of a KO artist for sure, nothing like one of them to get the non diehards such as ourselves interested........andy lee and murray have nice pop in their punches, martin lindsay also a candidate after his GBH of derry mathews

Gary o Sullivan has a cracking punch but hasn't come up against anyone good yet so we'll wait and see. Lyndsay' ko was a ******* alright so i'd say at the moment the title must so to him.

things are getting very bad when they won't even let ya say crack*r without the moderators blocking it

osullivan and sutherland could be the biggest punchers out there...but its hard 2 no because they have not faced decent opponents yet...i think duddy koed his first 9 opponents..but the higher standard of opponent he faced the harder it became 4 him to stop them:good

Probably Lee among the Irish lads because he has KOed some decent opposition. He has great power in the right hook( which he doesn't throw enough) but his left is average.Duddy has a decent left hook but average power in his right hand.No real big punchers, maybe Spike will be.

BTW - the best p4p puncher in Ireland is Mike Perez

I dont know about that Luis Garcia would give him a run for his money IMO

I have to say I'm more excited about Garcia than I am about Perez (thats not to say im not excited about Perez)

but we cant talk about the cubans as they havent stepped up to the same level of oposition as the likes of Duddy and Lee yet I have no doubt they will get there though

I think Luis has a better chance of picking up a strap. He was Carl Froch's only sparring partner for the Jean Pascal fight. Froch doesnt go easy in sparring. Ive been highly impressed by him. I missed him last friday because I was four minutes late getting into the venue and his opponent was already ko'd.

Perez gives away alot in size to the other HW's but hes got some pop and hes got great handspeed so hes definately got a chance , but if i had 50 euro to bet on either of them i'd put my money on garcia!

I did an interview with thier manager gary hyde the other week

He will definately be coming back OnTheGrind in the future
