Heard the news on Today FM at work that Dunne will try and get a fight with Vazquez, Cabellero or Lopez.
Jesus it's like I'm dreaming, Bernard has finally hit the big time, Peters was hinting at fighting in Vegas a few weeks ago but it really looks like a reality now. Better get the wife and kids up to speed with this years holiday destination.

 

Do you think he is ready for this step up? I think he should wait , have a couple of hard fights at the o2 and then go

I'm not sure if he's ready, but one things for sure i will never write off Bernard again. We don't know how much Vazquez has left, Could be another piece of good timing and good matchmaking although Vazquez was spectacular against Marquez so it's a huge gamble for Dunne. The man has balls of steel and ambition to match so if he feels he is ready for the big boys @122 then I'm right there behind him 100%.

The guy is a dickhead - I cant understand the man - he has had the horn for me since I suggested it was about time he STFU on a thread where he was blasting Dunne persistantly - the best he can come up with is to rearrange the spelling of the word Sligo - tough opposition alright! He is making an ass of himself, I wish I could stop replying to him but its so juvenille and moronic that I feel compelled to!!! grrrr!

Is there a chance murrays next fight could be for the european title?
I didnt see the taxton fight and have never seen his opponent . Was he any good?
Was the murray fight shown on rte? any footage

 

I stuck a little bit of footage of the Murray fight on Youtube - to be honest I wasnt impressed!

 

Peters praised Thaxo's promoter Mick Hennessy all weekend - there must be something down the line. But he is in no way ready yet and his trainer Mr Breen thinks he still punches like an amateur.

 

Juan Manuel Lopez is an absolute beast - Dunne should stay as far away from him as possible.Lopez will clean out the division within the next year before doing the same at 126 and maybe beyond.
I think they are trying to get a Lopez/Vasquez fight set so i don't know where Dunne would fit in.Caballero would seem to be a more realistic option but i know he's been talking **** about Juanma in the hope of getting that fight.
I would like to see Dunne make an easy defense then beat that wanker Munroe then move up to 126 where winning a belt there is more realistic than beating the top guys at 122

 

I just read that Murray was wheelchair bound as a child due to a degenerative hip condition and that doctors told him that if he persued boxing he would be crippled by the age of 20! Link here.
I had no idea about this, this puts a new perspective on how I see his performance the other night and indeed all his other performances in the ring.
Is this common knowledge in boxing circles, I've never heard it mentioned on RTE when he's fighting?
