and two excellent shows at that...big rogie at the odyssay...and applleby-lindsay at the ulster hall...although the lindsay title fight has barely been mentioned...no press conferences or press releases...its being badly promoted by hayemaker...whereas rogan fight is big news....every newspaper had a piece on it
it would be a war alright. If you want some entertainment go to Channel M's website (its a local TV station here in Manchester) they have a weekly boxing programme called Seconds Out and they have all the back episodes on it which are free to view - the episode with him prior to the Johansson and Khans fights are bloody hilarious - the guy is like a caged animal
gomez fight 2night should b a good scrap...but michael needs 2 his get his man out of there early as he doesnt seem 2 have the legs 2 take him though a whole fight anymore:good
just doesn't have it anymore. Don't think it needed to be stopped but he was way off the pace. Burns is decent but he ain't that good. Gomez day has been and gone.
Gomez off the pace. Behind and outboxed after six. Burns comes on with a flurry in the 7th (a bit like when Khan fought Gomez and bounced that comob off his arms and head) about 50% landed. Gomez took a knee but the ref stopped it. Gomez could have gone on to be fair. **** stoppage but no complaints. Gomez interviewed in the dressing room after. Admits he is shot to pieces basically. Said he's at the end of the road and can't chase titles anymore. Also said he'd love to get a couple of 6 rounders in to get to the 50 fight mark but isn't sure he can even manage that because the spark is gone. Thanked his loyal fans and a lot of other people and then said no there will be no tears tonight. Good lad, great value for money fighter and held his head high in defeat and what seems like the end of his career.
Does anyone know what age spike o sullivan is? Has anyone heard whether dunnes cut is bad ? Is it in the same place as the faccio one He has cut in his lad few fights and all seem deep enough
Not sure where I heard it but I think Spike is 26. Could be my memory playing tricks with me though. I'm sure other lads here will have concrete info. Dunne always cut badly. The cut is in a far worse place than the Faccio one which was high on his forehead. This one is closer to the brow. Hes just one of those faces that cuts up a bit. Even going back as far as the fight against Adrian Valdez he's suffered with cuts. He was in bits after that one.
Here maybe one of you super brains could tell me about putting stuff up on youtube. I've no idea about it but I have all Bernards fights on dvd and I was thinking of putting some of them up or making a compilation vid. Apparently youtube is very picky about file types it allows and the download takes ages? can anyone shed any light on this
hey man why didnt you tell us this before, would love to see some of his early stuff under roach. Paddy has a youtube channel and either doug or slap im sure they will help It would be greatly apreciated if you put them up
not sure about getting it off the dvd but once its off you have to load it up takes AGES on youtube Ive seen all his fights myself he was quiet the KO artist when he fights fighting the lower level fighters
