Totally agree with that nutter,Moore is a better boxer than coyle in my opinon but Sinky seems to be on a rich run of form at present,Very interesting scrap will this be or the Irish title i wonder.
I didn't see the fight(infact I don't think it was even televised), however one key point is the fight was only over 4 rounds and Paulie suffered a knockdown. Know as anyone would tell you, you get knocked down in a 4 rounder and you're going to have one hell of a job getting the win. Paulie was apparently coming on strong towards the end of the fight aswell, but that's all I know about it. Some of the other lads here will know more. Gonzalez record is that of a decent journeyman though, and a tough test considering the level Paulie is/was at. It might make a nice rematch in Ireland(over at least 8) in the near future.
Very conterversail (dont mind the spelling) decision, he was a last minute opponent and paulie wasnt expecting a 4 rounder, it was originally meant to be 6 or 8 and one guy pulled out and they threw in gonzales as a last minute choice and he was a local so everybody reckons he got the judges decision over been the local
I dont see any reason why it should not be for the Irish title,besides Im sure that be Moores main motive for taking the fight.:bbb

Taylor is European champ once again Saturday, 27 June 2009 15:06 Katie Taylor was crowned European Union champion for the second year running following an 8-1 win over Bulgarian lightweight Denitza Eliseevan in Pazardjik, Bulgaria on Saturday. The win was the 22-year-old Irish woman's 35th in a row and the third time on the trot she has beaten an opponent from the host nation in a major international final. Last November she beat Chinese lightweight Cheng Dong 13-2 to retain her title at the AIBA World Championships in Ningbo City, China. And she followed that up with a 5-1 win over Turkey's Ozlem Dinc to claim gold at the prestigious Ahmet Cup in Istanbul,Turkey in April of this year. The victory, achieved over four, two minute rounds, confirms that Irish boxers have claimed 10 medals at European Union level in the last seven days. Last weekend the Irish men's team won three gold, three silver and three bronze medals and the 'team of the tournament' award at the European Union Senior Championships in Odense, Denmark. Peter Taylor, who was working his daughter's corner along with Pat Ryan in Pazardjik, said that they were thrilled with today's win. He said: 'Katie boxed fabulously and she is delighted to have retained her title. She produced three great performances in three days to win this gold medal and this is another proud moment for her.'
