Is Acosta definitely fighting on Alan Wiltons show in Belfast on Nov 20, I am itching to get a look at some of these Cuban lads, from all of the praise that I have read on here and their outstanding amateur pedigree. I hope they get the matches in the future, I cannot help feeling that 3 transplanted Cuban with such pedigree (i.e. high risk category) will have problems getting name opponents in the future.

dont fool yourself - they dont. They only mean something to someone that knows nothing about boxing!

The Adamek-Golota fight was important not because of the title but because it is a "changing of the guard" in Polish boxing,

As it stands at the moment, Acosta will be fighting for an international title on the 20th of November at the Holiday Inn. Alio Wilton puts on great "wee" shows and I strongly recommend anybody from the Belfast or greater Belfast area to attend. Alan's son Luke, Micheal Harvey,JJ McDonagh[a slick southpaw who boxed amateur at the ST John's Bosco club will be making his debut] Niall Diamond[from bonny Scotland] among others will be on the bill.

your right Podge he is a class act..i feel sorry him though i think if managed a bit better he could have fought at world level! I think Moore has said Maclin is the toughest and strongest fighter he has ever faced!

the shows are coming thick and fast nice- did Hayemaker get a bit of the sky pie? if so then they might have a few shows are year and Lindsay can fight on them? And if Haye does well there are always his undercards too?

As much as I like Jamie Moore, he would never have been world class. If Moore had beaten Rhodes, then Sergio Martinez would have been his next opponent. I watched Martinez a few years back in The Kings Hall, and I can tell you, Moore would have had little hope of beating this class act.

Theres whispers that Lindsay could be moving across to Matchroom, but it probably hinges on whether Haye wins his upcoming bout against Valuev. Haye as heavyweight "world champ" could negotiate a TV contract for himself and his promotional outfit.
