Thats my thinking too. I think Lee can pick up a world title . Mccloskey has a chance but he needs to get a move on. Lindsay is in with a shout once he stays away from the top fighters. If the reports on Frampton are correct hes the real deal. Dean Byrne could certainly go to euro level imo. Aint seen enough of Kavanagh
aye. this here frampton gets good write-ups, not seen him no reason andy lee cant be, if he pulls his finger out. there are 4 titles after all
ive no doubt McCloskey is capable of winning a world title. No doubt at all. From what ive heard of Frampton from people who watch him regular, its all good reports. McGuigan certainly thinks so
scene is weak at the moment, no big name most prospects we have are european level at most, top class amateurs who if make the transition well enough could become champions
john o donnel culd go onto world level aso laks power but good variety and speed if he uses the jab more he can go places .. ams who are good are paddy barnes olympic bronze uro gold burnett youth olympic gold nevin world bronze oliver joyce qulity am loos like pro donovan euro bronze mccullough euro bronze lindberg moylett world youth gold sutcliffe good am looks t have v good power oneill euro silver joe ward world junior and youh gold medalist looks the buisness tommy mccarthy world youth bronze mdealist jason quigley euro youth gold medalist all these lads look like good prospects in ams but thats all they are at the moment well find out in a few years how good they can be hopefully in pro game
the professional scene is stronger now than at any point in 30 years - and thats including the McGuigan and McCullough eras. Sure there is a lull after Dunnes retirement but we are best placed to fill that void with the likes Lee, Macklin, Lindsay and McCloskey.
we have far more fighters bordering around british and european level than ever before but no one who can go on and make defences like collins , those 4 aint going anywhere except macklin but do we really want to share him with the brits
i have nearly the same list, but i put lee before frampton, if only because he,s nearer to fighting in a w/title match, lindsay is very likely the best chance of the lot, very good fighter.:good
I think McCloskey might have had the beatings of Khan 2 years agon but now Khan is a different fighter. I've bought into a lot of hype about fighters and made the mistake of believing it .But I always said after the Prescott that Khan would go on to be a World Champ. Sometimes - if a fighters is young enough, he can get sparked out in spectacular fashion only to come back an win a belt. I think Lee can improve too. The doubt I have about McCloskey (and Andy Murray), is that he has never faced a top 10 fighter. McCloskey can out box nearly anyone perhaps. That said, if he mirrors his performance against Lauri again he will get caught. I hope he shows us how much he has learned and go's back to being the matador V bull style fighter.
