Iron Rod?

    On Willard,

    He was able to stop Floyd Johnson at a very old age in a comeback fight which he was losing. Willard was one tough SOB and h2h is underrated tremendously. He probably beats Dempsey with a standing 8 and nuetral corner rule established.

    None of this would help as the iron rod would still be his undoing...

    Besides being known for having terrific punching power, Jack Dempsey was far quicker than Jess Willard during their bout. At the time, Willard was far too slow to be even remotely competitive in a bout with Dempsey even without including the punching power factor in the equation.
