Is boxing dangerous?

    Amateur boxing has much stricter safety rules and regulations. I would say stick to light-contact if health is a concern. Casual boxing can be as safe as soccer - just stay away from assholes who think sparring sessions are championship rounds.

    I boxed for a year and quit when I realised I don't like getting punched in the face.

    Sitting through numerous PET scans myself, I can say without a shadow of any doubt that you risk a brain injury and potential long term damage every time you take a blow to the head.

    Its dangerous if you don't prepare and then step in the ring. If you let him the other guy is going to knock you out.

    just the training may **** up your elbows. And your hand if you dont wrap them properly.

    your intelligence level or lack there of is dangerous. Pursue boxing if you like bc judging by your question you really wont be risking much.
