I know he is from Indonesia but I was told that Malaysians, Indonesians, and Philippinos are the same. Except Philippinos have a little Mexican in them or at least they look like Mexicans maybe from the Spanish trade. I was told the spanish blood in Philippinos was really mexican blood. Why no Pinoy support for Chris John?

    WTF?

Ethnically, yes Malaysians, Indonesians and Filipinos are related. Indo-Malay.

But where the **** did you get Filipinos being part Mexican? Are you talking about the colonization of the Philippines by Spain? Not sure about the genetic mixing, probably nothing compared to South America, but their main influence was cultural (language, music, religion).

And regarding Chris John, South East Asia is very fragmented. Each country rarely supports other countries for many reasons. Also, Philippines is a Catholic country unlike any other SE Asian country.

I see a lot of similarities between Pinoys and Mexicans too. I was told or read somewhere that the trade between the P.I. went through Mexico and a lot of Mexicans and Philippinos settled. I see many Philippinos and think they are Mexican and some Mexicans look Philippino. I was just wondering with John because he looks Philippino to me.

Not sure to say about the whole Phil-Mexican thing. That is the first time I have heard of it.

Yes Chris John looks very Indo-Malay.

It is the other way around.

Filipinos migrated to Mexico as early as 1565.

The actual population amount is not known, but some estimate there may be about 200,000 people of mixed Filipino ancestry in Mexico. They may form less than (0.2%) of the population and its communities are found in Michoacán, Guerrero, and Colima.

Notable Mexican of Filipino ancestry :

Isidoro Montes de Oca (1789-1847) was a Mexican-Filipino revolutionary soldier who fought in the

Yeah in the article I read awhile back. I forgot what it was but they were able to find a family living in Mexico, actually the guy was like the mayor of town or something and his last name was maganda or mabini osomething like that and were able to trace his ancestry to the Philippines. from what I learned his last name means beautiful or pretty I forgot. I found it interesting.

What I read that the among the Spaniards in the Philippines were also Mexicans and that the alcapulco trade brought Pinoys there and vice versa and that many philippinos settled in Mexico and and Mexicans in the Islands. It is just that there is an eerie similarity. Even in boxing the two countries fighters fight almost similarly game face first brawlers with no quit.
