After taking an overdose of pounding from the relentless Margaritto,Will Cotto end up like Lacy?Having shown so much potential maybe end up winning dodgey fights against unheard of fighters from Ezebekistan. How has history treated products of hype like Cotto?

hes much better than Lacy ,hes the real deal hes not a product of hype he couldnt beat the fighters he did if he wasnt a very good fighter.a product of hype is someone like JCC Jr.
as how hes going to react to his first loss nobody knows we have guys like Mosley who was never the same after Forrest, others like Hamed that retired and then we also have guys like Barrera who comeback even better than they were.
i hope Cotto is the later.

again the typical over reaction. Cotto was comfortable up in the fight until the 7th. Hes got the game to beat marga. I think is was to do with stamina issues, but no hes nothing like lacy and he will be back bigger, stronger and better

    :good

Lacy didn't even win a round against Calzaghe... it was pretty even in the Cotto v Margo fight in terms of points

yes exactly....Cotto is the equivalence of Lacy

as is Sugar Ray Robinson, Ali, Leonard, Pepp, Hearns, and Joe Louis and billions of other fighters......and Floyd Mayweather is 2nd greatest fighter of all time, only 2nd to Marciano

If OP means, if Cotto will be broken - then only time will tell.

Otherwise, I think that Cotto will learn from this fight - and dominate the future.

it wasn't a one sided like beating and cotto already had a resume noteworthy mostly composed of B level fighters and former top guys judah and mosley although mosley was past prime. Cotto is the real deal and anyone who is the real deal would come back better than ever

Cotto is Cotto he's not LIKE anyone, same goes for Lacy, all this aside a horrible comparison made by someone with far too much time on their hands. Just the thought should mandate a bullet to the head

what? you cant even compare the 2 fights , come on Calzage beat the **** out of Lacy for like 12 rounds, and Lacy didnt even "touch" Calzage that i can remember, on the other hand only time will tell if Cotto can comeback

Honestly I think he will, by the way he walked to his locker room it seems that he was only dissapointed with himself for not wining but didnt seems to be "broken" as they put it

I think if in his next fight he tears a ligament on his left shoulder and requires extensive surgery like Lacy did then yes, he might end up like him.
