The only thing that is not underrated on Dawson is his chin...

Yes. He was undergrown at 160 and has been filling out his body ever since. He also has become more offense-minded of late, against these inferior opponents.

He still doesn't have a great left, but his right hand (those hooks and uppercuts you mentioned) are damaging punches. He may lack one-shot power, but he doesn't need an entire fight to accumulate KO damage on an opponent.

Agreed. This has to be the No. 1 concern.

This guy's uppercuts are mean. Saw some good ones on Adamek and Harding. Adamek has a great chin, but most fighters would not take a beating like that. Adamek showed heart. Dawson's power is great. His uppercuts however, are mean.

his chin is not terrible. he doesnt get trouble to the point of almost being ko'd he gets dropped easily like his balance is bad or his footwork is bad. it wierd he gets up and keeps his game going even after being dropped.

If measured in watts, then I'd say, yes, Dawson's power is underrated. :bart

The same Adamek who was taking massive Flush, hard punches from Briggs for 12 and wan't knocked out... I think that says more about Adamek's chin then anything. His power is under rated for sure IMO, he will certainly hurt you if you come in open. I would rate him like a Zab Judah for power. A guy who has the potential to hurt you badly, if you are not in the same league, or come in too open. But who against top opponents will be more concerned with counter punching effectively to really put true KO power behind all of his punches.

I'm one of his big fans for sure, but it's a fair question. And does anyone really view him as a future HW? That would be a very poor career move.
