I know he hasn't always been the best of speakers, but I'm afraid the man seems a little bit punch drunk. :verysad

The guy talks with too many non sequiturs. Also, he says things like "those are great, good punches", "he's bleeding from the nose, so he definitely got hit in the mouth," etc.

That just means he rarely knows what to say... You want to hear somebody who is punch drunk? listen to Joe Frazier, now you'll see what punch drunk means.

Not at all, one thing I gat to give to Lewis is that he is highly polite and has some kinda charm in his short speech style, anybody will show signs of what you've mentioned at one point but Lewis not really...

Well, punch drunk is spectral, meaning you can be a little bit punch drunk or very punch drunk. I'm just saying he's on the mild end of punch drunk. He's not like Gatti, Frazier, or Frazier.

I hope not, and I'd be surprised if he was. For a top flight heavy who faced some serious punchers, Lennox wasn't in many wars where he took a lot of hard head shots. The Rahman and McCall losses were more of the one punch variety rather than an accumulation of heavy blows. He did take some hard hits over the years, but he doesn't sound punch drunk to me.

Lennox is quite legible.. he is no Bowe, Holyfield or Terry Norris..

Lewis never had the same kind of wars that Evander or Bowe had..

He is quite unscathed.. all fighters , especially Jamaican laid back ex champs , talk with a lazy touch to thier diction... he is not at all punch drunk..

The guy never has been a good talker. Don't know why HBO employed him. I'm sure they could have got a good talker like Tarver OR even better someone who can explain the science and talk like X.

Lewis was a great boxer but he is proof that knowing how to fight and telling someone how to fight are two different things. He knows a **** load about boxing but he doesn't know how to convert his thoughts into words.

He took quite some punishment in his fights with Mercer and Klitschko, but you're right. Outside of those fights, he came out relatively clean.

I don't think he's punchdrunk, he's just inexperienced as a broadcaster. Every now and then I think he's getting better, then he takes a step or 34 back.

Lewis knows how to speak, he just gets nervous in front of the camera.

Lennox is a good talker, but compared to pros like Jim Lampley he's bound to sound a bit wooden.

Do you think you could do a better job than Lennox?
