Go to your local club and watch the amateurs do it then. Pros should not be fighting in one night tournaments over three rounds...

I liked it for what it was. It was good when they had a bunch of young fighters as it's a good springboard. When they have a load of old fighters looking for a payday, then it sucks.

Not a big fan of it but understood the value in giving young ambitious fighters a chance to make a few quid and springboard their careers like Fielding for example.

The problem was overkill with far too many events and lots of washed up fighters.

Sky/Matchroom tried to turn it into the boxing equivalent of 20/20 Cricket....being an old school boxing fan, not for me.

If Jimmy White was inaugural double winner.. or if Audley won the lonsdale or commonwealth to go with his Euro etc.

    Be hailed as the best.

Never winning the lonsdale says more about the lonsdale etc.

Enjoyed it when it was mostly guys I'd never/barely heard of - good fun for a night in/few bets/drinking games etc. basically saw it as harmless fun that could bring through a quality fighter every now and again but the sight of James toney on it turned me off it for good

They really should mix up the format- maybe a longer tournament like the one on Channel 5 last year would benefit those around British level.
