Getting too big for his boots, i like the guy and his passion/creativity. But i sense that he is getting too big for his boots "some of the things he says", because he is no doubt pound for pound the best sports analysis working on Uk Television. Steve Bunce needs some comp, Johnny Nelson, Jim Watt, barry mcguinn cannot really compete with him..when it comes to breaking down fights in his flamboyant manner, its the share speed/force and conviction. Johnny Nelson has the firing power and knowledge but lacks in flamboyant crowd pleasing style, i believe Johnny Nelson is his closet rival.

October 8th 2008 was the date that Steve Bunce, i believe became too big for his boots.
Steve Bunce was trying to Usher Don King off the show and hurry him up speaking, Don King is probably the greatest thing in boxing history next to Muhammad Ali, Don King is one of the 20th century's greatest success stories, master mind, and gangsta.

If Don King wants to speak, he will ****ing speak..

:bbb He is getting too big for his boots, and needs some comp..!

I disagree, Don King is one of the sports biggest promoters but that doesnt mean Setanta Sports are gonna let him make the next show wait. It was already 2 or 3 minutes past the hour and don was spouting loads of **** to a question that could have been answered in one word. He's lucky he didnt get disconnected.

I have been watching, and listening and i saw this change within Steve Bunce.

"Too big for his own boots change"

It first became apparent, when Bernard Hopkins was on live, on a overseas interview.

Steve Bunce and his side kick, cut Bernard Hopkins off..."When he had not finished what he was saying"

if it was up to bunce they would have a 3 hour show dedicated to don king every day on setanta. it was the producers asking him to hurry it up.

Don King what a legend................LONG LIVE THE QUEEN

Don King is a parasite. Buncie did a good job shutting him up.

Yeh i know he does a good job, but i think Sky need to employee someone like Steve Bunce. Someone to liven up the show over there, and compete with Steve Bunce on setanta.

Boxing in the UK needs a man like Bunce, before Bunce was there any weekly boxing chat show in the UK? No

    I rest my case.

Don King is a great man, but he was speaking on someone elses show, which does have a schedule and other guests and sections to include.

We went 6 mins over. Don was due on at the top of the show but he was with lawyers. We took a risk putting him on with very little time left. As for my boots...easy ladies. We do our best.

    Adios.

    Class act Buncey......

You can never be too outspoken.

We have been too long listening to Jim Watt trying to express himself on the air in a way an old man who lost his false teeth tries despairatly to describe eating Filet Mignon from memory...

"To big for his boots!" Typical Brit reaction I'm afraid.
After all, people should know their place!

    Another good show buncey.

I'm looking forward to the ITV4 show tonight too.

Between them both us fans should get regular fixes of the sport when their are no decent fights on.
