    He's shot to ****.

Nah, I don't know. I haven't seen Valuev fight except against Holy and that was an awful fight... I haven't seen his previous performances so I wouldn't know.

Being shot implies that you used to be good.

Valuev was always ****. He is just awkward to fight because of his sheer size.

He used to be an OK/decent fighter in the grand scheme of things.

Now, he's just awful. People that big aren't suited at all to go through the wear and tear of the sport, and it looks like it's caught up to him. It doesn't help that he doesn't have the mentality of a fighter, either. It doesn't even look like he tries much in the ring now.

Valuev has no passion for boxing. He's in it for the money, who can blame him. In every WBA defense Valuev earns what like $1-1.5m. Valuev could care less about unification bouts or interesting opponents. It appears Sauerland finally got sick of Valuev and paired him with Haye -- because the next "logical" opponent would have been Ruiz, for the third time.

He doesn't care if he looks bad or gives HW boxing a bad rep, he collects paycheck after paycheck.

Valuev is just a freak show with just enough skill and size to get him a belt in an extremely weak division. His jab aint bad if he decides to use it, like he did well against an unmotivated Liakhovich, but since then he's not used it enough in fights. Also his good chin keeps him around long enough to get controversal decisions.

I saw him knock an opponent out of the ring in Australia. He broke an opponents' ribs in Atlantic City, NJ. He is strong, has stamina and will do anything Don King tells him to do. Roy Jones likes they way Valoeuv fights, he showed Valouev on HBO years ago. How much will Valouev get for this fight? Haye ran like Hell from Klitschkos for a very good reason. Valouev can fight, can punch very hard if he wants to do such. His new trainer wants him to box, take his time, etc., instead of knocking out his opponents. Crazy.

big man but i dont think he's packin a punch. His boxing skills are very limited i think he should stick to brawling cuz no way is that guy goin down, he'd take the ring with him.
