Israel Vasquez ???

    Vasquez fought Rafa last MARCH 1, '08 for the WBC Super Bantam title. Did he retire or surrender his title?

    Rightnow the WBC list says it's vacant and Rafa is rated #1 and Jhonny Gonzales is rated #2.

    I think I missed something . . . can anybody enlighten me on this?

    i think he was giving the title of champion emeritus because of his eye injury

    Champions can't stay idle for more than a full year.He will fight after march so he wil be idle more than a year.So they basically stripped him but made him emeritus champ so he can challenge for the title when he wants.
