That we're going to be deprived of Calzaghe - Hopkins 2.. Calzaghe got the close decision over Hopkins.. but we'll never know who really is better..

    p.s.: Hopkins

Did you see the first fight? It was ****in terrible. It was one of the most unwatchable fights I've seen.

You know what's funny about this thread though? You the thread starter are a Mayweather FANATIC, (different from a fan), yet you're going to criticize Calzaghe for who he didn't fight?

And considering the first fight was close to impossible to watch, are you even a boxing fan?

so based on me liking mayweathers skills (which i dont think anyone can deny) your going to question my dedication to the sport of boxing as a fan?

SO I guess by your logic being a mayweather fan = I cant criticize another fighter? lol yea.. real smart.. makes sense?

And if you would pay attention I havent once mentioned critizing him for not fighting a certain fighter..

I criticize the situation because Calzaghe vs a newly invigorated Hopkins would have been a great fight.

How can you be all over Joes nuts but not like Mayweather?

    Calzaghe is the better fighter.

You obviously didn't see the fight if you think Hopkins is the better fighter

How about you apply your logic to PBF retiring in order to avoid a rematch with DLH?

    I'm not over anybody's nuts.

Point is, I don't go around making threads, "Oh no, Mayweather's retirement deprived us of DLH-Mayweather 2."

    The key word is "hypocrite."

And that's what I'm tryin to say.

Calzaghe is not the better fighter it was not a decisive victory it was a close decision and should have been warranted a rematch.

How about you stick to the fighter in question instead of trying to take attention and put it on something random??

Well the "better fighter" suggestion is subjective, but in regards to it being something random, is question was completely legitimate.

If you're gonna defend Floyd, why aren't you defending Calzaghe?

I mean, really it's the same thing.

But hey, ya'll a different breed.

    No.

    Calzaghe is the better fighter.

He got knocked down in the first round, adapted to Hopkins style, outworked Hopkins and showed he has greater stamina than Hopkins, and won the fight, while Hopkins relied on spoiling tactics and faking lowblows to buy some rest time in the later rounds.

    It was a decisive victory.

    A rematch was not warranted.

    You're a fanboy, nothing more.

Yes im surprised Mayweather did'nt fight DLH again but Mayweather is a deep individual so who knows what was going on through his mind and his life. He obviously didnt need the money since he turned down a lot for the rematch or maybe his heart wasnt into it. Im not going to make excuses for him but I will say that he is indeed a complicated and yes deep individual and its not meant for you to understand

At least RJJ showed a bit more ability than Pavlik...you ARE making me laugh

You think the fact that Hopkins took care of Pavlik so easily means he is 'newly invigorated' which apparently means if he fought Calzaghe again, he would actually TRY and win next time around

Do you understand how full of **** you are?
