Absolutely, and I promise i'd give it a real go too. I'm a pretty good boxer, I can have a fight i'm realistic though and that comes down to been able to trade explosively for 9 mins!! I think that would suit me especially with what I know now about the body and adaptions to exercise- something i never understood before. I think i'd be a massive underdog to go anywhere with it but if someone said November Prizefighter at Light Welter your in, I promise i'd be there and ready for a right go at it. I always responded well to been over my head in the ams and pro's- I'm not fussed about my record just would love the chance to get going again. I'm only 28 but miss it terribly. Could have been good- loads of people have said I had talent like Howard Rainey, Steve Holdsworth, Kev Maree, Gaz Seward, big doug and none of them have to say that- I don't ask them so thats nice. Serious if you want it to happen and Hearn would want me in then i'd def go for it. It would have to be 10st to 10st 2 but I gurantee my fights would be exciting and entertaining and hopefully not end with me spread eagled don curry style. :good Anyone in the game who would like to see it pass my interest on to Barry Hearn and i'd love to do it.
Jeff, 28 is f*** all - you could still have a good few years in you yet. You're fit as a flea, haven't been bashed up in wars, so I reckon you could get at least another three or four years minimum out of it. You have a more than capable skill set - and your left hook is a killer. Told you before, what abilities you have and the passion you obviously carry for the sport, it would be a crying shame to let opportunity pass you by. If you can - then you should! When you were sparring last summer (at Kev's gym to help us out), I know it was only light rounds and you hadn't actually been seriously ring active for a while, but it was obvious to anyone with an eye for boxing you have plenty of tools that many active in the game don't. Jeffro - hear that? That's the sound of the ring calling YOU! Get in there son, you won't regret it.

We should start some sort of petition, or all of us bombard Matchroom, tell them that if they put Jeff in we'll all attend, by loads of crap at the kiosks, spend loads of money on it at the bookies etc etc.
I'd love to see you give it a crack pal, I really would. You obviously still have the desire and belief you can do something, so provided you can pass the fitness tests, why not. Rob Palmer is good at making a nosie, get him on board. Even if we could get you into one of those votes for the last spot it'd be great. You'd **** that.
