If you can pull off consecutive punches with the same hand wihtout leaving too much time or space to be countered, yes it's a good combination because as an opponent, you're not expecting three punches with the same hand.

Pretty pointless combo. Likely not fast enough or not enough power. You could fill it in with two feint crosses.

got my nose broken by a jab right in the middle of throwing the uppercut...

you can pull it off if youre quick against a shorter dude. 1-3-uppercut is infinitely safer.

"Effective" is what you get away with. Try it in sparring. If it works? Great. That many shots with one hand? You either have an intimidated or brand new sparring partner. You would get away with that silliness ONCE in a good gym, hahaha.

IMHO uppercuts should ALWAYS be defensively covered. So you need to either lead with them (if you are quick) and smother or seriously mask them with various techniques. The human nature under pressure to "****" a punch just seems like practicing something like that would introduce more weakness in your game than actually provide effective offense.

I think it'd be effective if you have the speed and reflexes of someone like roy jones jr. which I doubt. Other than that it's probably too risky. Stick with throwing other combos that aren't gonna be as huge of a risk of getting countered so easily.

On an additional note, it's not going to be too easy masking that combo. I had a friend who liked to throw a lot of 'lead-combos' (i.e., jab jab left hook). Tried a jab-uppercut and as soon as that lead hand gets pulled back and downwards for the uppercut he already had a counter straight in his face.
