I've been working heavily on my jab and have to say; its Bude-if-ful... however I am still looking to improve it.... anyone got any fights they could suggest where a jab plays a major role.

No heavies or 6ft 5 feather weights please. Just normal sized boxers with well schooled jabs.... Been watching Winky-Dodson and lots of other Winky stuff but would like some more suggestions preferably orthadox fighters.

Need fights where the disparity in size isn't massive, where the technique and timing of the jab are the key factors.

Ike Quartey is a good call. Some current fights you might went to look at include Paulie Malignaggi, Mikkel Kessler, Oscar De La Hoya and Cristian Mijares. Obviously there are better jabs like Winky's and Holmes but those fighters are obviously south paw or tall rangy guys.

If you want to see an educated left jab, watch any Mike McCallum tapes. Especially his fight with David Braxton, another serious practitioner of an educated jab.

Pavlik utilized a very good jab in his last defense. Also, a short guy with an excellent and experienced jab is Verno Phillips.

If we're talking fighters without huge physical advantages:

Yeh Ike was a right-handed Winky. Quite short as well, outjabbed taller longer fighters a lot.

Cotto outjabbing the taller, longer and faster Mosely was a great display of jab-timing

Young Holyfield had a great jab against bigger guys

Kessler beat everyone but one in a division on the strength of his jab, most of it was a textbook style with timing and measuring distance thrown in for shits and giggles.
