    I assume most people have already seen Jack Johnson and his band perform but I thought I'd add a few clips of his fights to go along with the music. :good

    Here's a clip of Jack Johnson and Joe Jeanette in a sparring session from 1944. At the time, Jack was 67 and Joe 71!

    Jack looked horrid and had shrunk by the time that footage was filmed........ But it is STILL ckassic ****............

    Ol' Jack died just 20 miles north of my house here in N.Raleigh, North Carolina............... J.J. was killed in a car crash up in Franklin Cty. in the summer of 1946 after a white owner of a diner told Jack and his black buddy to eat outside and away from white customers........ Jack tore off in his car and wrapped it around a pole on North Main street while speeding........... His buddy survived........
