Wow.. wonder if Smith will try and avoid this and go for a higher reward fight.. Brook for example they could build a little buzz around that.
Munguia bullied Ali and I can't see how Smith can take that kinda punishment

Munguia too strong. A good fight would be between Smith no 1 and no 2 Aust based Irishman Dennis Hogan.

this fight will go like the trash title fights smith had where he just beat up fighters that were no where near his level but smith will be on the one getting beat up

The Brook fight isn’t so simple to make with the Hearn/Warren situation and Liam Smith is only 29 years of age. He’s got plenty of time for cash out options if he loses this.

Liam Smith is a tough nut himself, and underrated he has solid skills, he'll at least give him a tough fight, I think it's a fight he can win, them Mexicans have solid chins though , he really should have taken the Ali fight regardless.

Smith isn't going anywhere near him. Trust me he find a excuse or something. Tesco Joe won't allow him to get battered for rounds and then pull him out.

Nobody was really talking about him before he got drafted in against Ali, but now he’s a killer.

Watch some you tube on the kid, you will see he is a legit killer with raw power in both hands. WICKED body head combos plus the patented Mex liver shots.
Beefy could outbox him as he is No Canelo.. but he also has what appears to be a granite Chavez chin
However his defense does blow as he seems to rely on it. he comes in wreckless with no jab, so he would be easily outboxed by say a BJ Saunders. I dont think Beefy is cute enuff to get away or have enuff pop to keep killer honest.

That’s fair enough but as Twenty says nobody was saying this before he was confirmed as Ali’s challenger. He was a relative unknown.

Beefy in a bad position now, where does he go? He has to fight munguia the other routes also have killers as champs.

The last easy route to a 154 belt has been cut off since this weekend.
Still I think Munguia is the weakest beltholder atm, but I'd certainly favor him over Smith.
