Can someone enlighten me on this dude.. I know he had the fights with Sugar Ray and what not, but I always looked at him as kind of a brawler(just seems like the general consensus) havent seen any tape of him though.. Break dude down for me.
Swarming pressure fighter, probably the ultimte example at MW. Fearless. Maybe the only white fighter to match a member of the black murderer's row in prime (he lost to Lloyd Marshall). Best chin in history. Huge for a middleweight but to short to ever really prosper at LHW. Very strong. Incredible endurance but I think his reputation for outlasting opponents throught thugery are not deserved. LaMotta bored in, he didn't walk in, and he kept his chin under wraps. A nightmare to share the ring with, he was limited by this one style.
